Our experienced team provides trusted surgical care for procedures including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, biopsies, and IV sedation. We are proud to deliver precise, compassionate care in a professional and supportive clinical environment.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our surgical team on a casual basis.This is an exciting opportunity to step into the dental surgical field and work alongside highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeons. You'll play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, particularly during IV sedation and recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their careAssist with IV sedation procedures and patient recoveryMaintain exceptional infection prevention and sterilisation standardsProvide patient education and post-operative instructionsPrepare surgical rooms and equipment for treatment sessionsSupport the wider practice team with clinical and administrative tasks as requiredQualificationsWe're looking for a confident, compassionate, and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a clinical environment and is eager to expand their skills within a specialist surgical setting.To be successful in this role, you'll have:Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)Current NZRC CORE Immediate (or equivalent) resuscitation certificationPrevious experience in surgical, perioperative, theatre, or procedural settings (preferred)Experience with scrubbing and circulating duties (advantageous but not essential)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and a patient-centred approachA collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to a close-knit teamLive locally with valid NZ work rights Additional InformationApply today to join the friendly team at Wellington Oral Surgery and take the next step in your nursing career.Once you've applied, we'll send you a short follow-up email with a few quick questions.
