Apply & track with Apply EdgeStark County Veterinary Emergency Clinic (SCVEC) is seeking experienced and motivated Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our emergency and critical care team.We currently have an immediate need for afternoon and overnight RVTs.SCVEC is a busy, privately owned, 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital serving Stark County and the surrounding communities. Our technicians play an essential role in patient care and work closely with our emergency veterinarians to manage a wide variety of urgent, emergent, and critical cases.ResponsibilitiesAs an RVT at SCVEC, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical skills in a fast-paced emergency environment. Responsibilities may include:Emergency and critical care nursingPatient triage and stabilizationIV catheter placement and venipunctureMedication and fluid administrationAnesthesia induction and monitoringSurgical and procedural assistanceRadiologyIn-house laboratory diagnosticsInpatient and ICU patient careMonitoring and treatment of hospitalized patientsAccurate medical record documentationClient communication and educationWorking collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and reception staffQualificationsCurrent Ohio Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license requiredStrong technical and patient-care skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsDependable and professionalEmergency or critical care experience is preferred but not requiredScheduleWe are currently prioritizing candidates interested in:Afternoon shiftsOvernight shiftsBecause SCVEC operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, weekend and holiday availability is required as part of the position.Why SCVEC?Emergency medicine provides RVTs with the opportunity to practice at a high technical level while caring for patients when they need us most.
