The role focuses on managing acute and chronic medical conditions, implementing individualized treatment plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered healthcare delivery.The Registrar plays an essential role in improving patient outcomes, reducing avoidable hospital admissions, and promoting continuity of care through evidence-based medical practice, proactive disease management, and close collaboration with healthcare teams. The position ensures safe, compassionate, and comprehensive medical care in compliance with Ministry of Health regulations, CBAHI standards, and organizational policies.Key Responsibilities1. Patient Consultation and Clinical Case ManagementConduct comprehensive medical assessments during home visits and virtual consultations.Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic internal medicine conditions.Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, investigations, referrals, and follow-up plans.Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans according to clinical findings.Identify patients requiring escalation of care or hospital admission and coordinate timely referrals.Provide medical consultations through telemedicine platforms when required.Ensure accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation in accordance with evidence-based practice.Educate patients and caregivers regarding disease management, medication adherence, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle modifications.Coordinate care with consultants, specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.Participate in clinical discussions and seek senior medical consultation for complex or high-risk cases when appropriate.2. Clinical Quality and CompliancePractice according to approved clinical guidelines, Ministry of Health regulations, and CBAHI standards.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety activities.Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.Contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical governance and documentation.Support implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and care pathways.3. Professional DevelopmentParticipate in continuing medical education (CME), workshops, and clinical training programs.Attend multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to knowledge sharing.Maintain professional competence by keeping updated with current evidence-based internal medicine practices.Support orientation and clinical guidance for junior physicians and healthcare staff when required.4. Health Information Systems (HIS) and Medical DocumentationUtilize electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare information systems effectively.Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.Comply with Ministry of Health documentation requirements and organizational policies.Participate in initiatives related to digital healthcare systems and telemedicine services.5. Patient Safety and SatisfactionApply patient safety principles and clinical risk management practices.Identify and report clinical incidents, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Deliver compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered medical care.Provide clear explanations to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.Address patient concerns professionally to improve satisfaction and quality of care.6.
