This role will work closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data, and senior management teams to ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with applicable regulatory requirements. Current Malaysia-based regulatory reporting roles commonly involve regulatory returns, data validation, reconciliation, regulatory ratios, reporting controls, and monitoring changes in regulatory requirements. (Jobstreet Malaysia)🎯 Key Responsibilities• Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to relevant regulatory authorities.• Collect, consolidate, validate, and reconcile financial, operational, risk, and business data required for regulatory submissions.• Ensure regulatory reports comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, reporting standards, and internal policies.• Perform detailed review and validation of regulatory reporting data before submission.• Investigate data discrepancies, reporting exceptions, and inconsistencies and coordinate appropriate resolution.• Maintain regulatory reporting schedules, submission calendars, reporting templates, and supporting documentation.• Monitor regulatory ratios, capital requirements, liquidity measures, risk indicators, and other applicable regulatory metrics.• Escalate potential breaches, unusual movements, reporting errors, or regulatory concerns to relevant management teams.• Work closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Data teams to ensure reporting accuracy.• Maintain strong controls around regulatory reporting processes, data sources, calculations, approvals, and submissions.• Perform reconciliations between regulatory reports, financial statements, management reports, and underlying source systems.• Support regulatory audits, reviews, inspections, and information requests by preparing documentation and evidence.• Monitor regulatory updates and assess the impact of new requirements on existing reporting processes.• Update reporting procedures, templates, controls, and processes following regulatory changes.• Support automation and digitalization initiatives to improve regulatory reporting efficiency and reduce manual processes.• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system enhancements, and new reporting implementation projects.• Develop and maintain reporting documentation, process maps, data dictionaries, calculation methodologies, and control frameworks.• Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting reporting status, exceptions, risks, and key regulatory metrics.• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and operational controls.• Support year-end audits and other ad hoc regulatory, financial, and compliance reporting requirements. (My Workday Jobs)✅ Requirements• Proven experience in Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Banking Operations, or a related field.• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting processes and financial services regulatory requirements.• Experience preparing and submitting regulatory returns, financial reports, risk reports, or compliance reports.• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.• Experience with data reconciliation, validation, exception investigation, and reporting controls.• Good understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, risk metrics, and regulatory ratios.• Experience working with regulatory reporting requirements such as BNM, SC, Bursa Malaysia, Basel, or other applicable regulatory frameworks is an advantage. Current Malaysia-based postings specifically reference BNM, Bursa, SC, Basel, and related regulatory reporting systems.
