This individual will provide exceptional customer service while developing and managing both lending and deposit relationships. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment in underwriting and managing loan portfolios, opening new accounts, identifying financial solutions that best meet customer needs, and contributing to branch growth and profitability through relationship-building and business development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in person, by phone, and electronically while exceeding established service standards.Open, maintain, and close consumer and business deposit accounts while identifying additional banking products and services that meet customer needs.Exercise independent lending authority by soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and managing consumer, commercial, agricultural, and real estate loan relationships within approved lending limits.Evaluate loan applications and make independent credit decisions in accordance with established lending authority and bank policies.Manage an assigned loan portfolio while maintaining portfolio quality and meeting established performance metrics.Approve customer overdrafts, operational deposit items, and policy exceptions within authorized approval limits.Meet or exceed annual cross-selling, deposit growth, and branch profitability goals.Resolve customer concerns promptly while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Develop new business through networking, community involvement, and relationship-building with local businesses, civic organizations, and community groups.Represent the bank at community events, networking functions, and bank-sponsored activities, including occasional evenings and weekends.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA required.1–2 years of banking, lending, or related financial services experience.Experience with consumer and/or commercial lending, deposit accounts, and relationship management preferred.Ability to independently evaluate loan requests and exercise sound credit judgment within approved authority.Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.Ability to contribute to branch growth through cross-selling, business development, and community involvement.Valid driver's license required.Preferred AttributesRelationship-driven professional with a strong customer-first mindset.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.Professional, detail-oriented, and highly organized.Comfortable networking within the community to generate new business and strengthen client relationships.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequent typing and repetitive hand movements.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for community and bank-sponsored events.
