In this position, the team member builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers, serving as a trusted advisor for their banking and financial needs. Daily responsibilities include opening and servicing accounts, guiding customers through deposit products, loans, and other financial services, and resolving inquiries in a professional and timely manner. The role involves conducting financial conversations to identify customer goals, recommending appropriate Valley Bank products and services, and supporting branch sales and service initiatives. The Relationship Banker collaborates with colleagues to ensure a high-quality customer experience, adherence to bank policies, and achievement of branch performance objectives.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to foster long-term client trust and deliver a positive in-branch experience.Candidates should possess knowledge of Financial Services and Finance to explain products, assess customer needs, and provide appropriate banking solutions.Candidates should possess experience with Loans, including consumer or small business lending, to assist customers in navigating credit options and application processes.Candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a branch team environment.Candidates should possess basic proficiency in banking systems, digital tools, and Microsoft Office, along with strong attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.Relevant experience in retail banking, financial services, or a customer-facing sales role is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and further education in business or finance is a plus.
