The bank is a Member FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender, emphasizing its commitment to regulatory standards and responsible lending.Role Description The Relationship Banker is a full-time, on-site role based in Fredericksburg, VA, focused on delivering high-quality service to individual and business customers. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, handling day-to-day banking transactions, and providing guidance on products such as checking and savings accounts, credit cards, and other financial services. The Relationship Banker will assist customers with loan inquiries and applications, identify cross-selling opportunities, and refer customers to appropriate specialists when needed. Daily responsibilities include resolving customer issues promptly, educating customers on digital banking tools, and adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements. The role also requires active participation in branch sales activities and community outreach efforts to grow and deepen customer relationships.Qualifications Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop long-term customer partnerships.Knowledge of financial services and basic finance concepts, including deposit and investment products.Proven customer service skills with a focus on listening, problem-solving, and clear communication.Experience with loans, including discussing options, supporting applications, and understanding credit fundamentals.Prior experience in retail banking or a financial services environment is preferred.Comfort with using banking systems and digital tools; ability to learn new platforms quickly.High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and confidentiality.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Fredericksburg, VA, including some flexibility for branch operating hours.
