Relationship Manager

Eden Rose is currently engaged with a banking institution within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) who are seeking a Relationship Manager.As part of the continued build-out of this proposition, the client is establishing a dedicated Relationship Management team to originate, develop and manage SME financing relationships across the UAE. Reporting to the Head of Coverage, the Relationship Manager will be responsible for originating and developing relationships with SME corporate clients.Key Responsibilities: Originate and develop new SME and commercial financing relationships across the UAE.Build and manage a portfolio of SME clients requiring short-term working capital and trade-related financing.Develop opportunities through both an existing personal network and leads generated by lending and origination platform partners.Meet prospective clients to understand their businesses, financing requirements, trading activity and overall financial position.Prepare and submit financing proposals for internal assessment and approval.Conduct initial commercial and financial assessments of prospective clients and identify key transaction and counterparty risks.Work closely with the Bank's credit team throughout the assessment, approval and financing process.Maintain strong relationships with lending platforms and other origination partners and convert platform-generated leads into financing opportunities.Manage client relationships throughout the financing lifecycle and identify opportunities to deepen relationships with suitable customers.Develop a high-quality pipeline of financing opportunities while maintaining appropriate credit and risk standards.Contribute to the development of the Bank's broader SME financing proposition, processes and go-to-market approach.Deliver against agreed annual origination, portfolio and revenue targets.The Relationship Manager will have 5–8 years of relevant experience within SME banking, business banking, commercial banking or SME financing with a minimum of approximately 3–5 years' experience in the UAE market specifically with a strong understanding of the local SME landscape within banking, financing platforms or MFI's. You will have direct experience originating and managing financing facilities for SME and commercial clients. With experience with financing requirements typically in the USD 1–2 million range or below. You will have a strong understanding of working capital financing, particularly for businesses involved in trade and cross-border activity and an established network and client portfolio within the UAE SME market, ideally including approximately 30–40 relevant client relationships or prospects that can support new business development.This is an excellent opportunity with a growing financial institution.
