🧠 We're Hiring: Research Intern — AI for Sleep ScienceThe Multimodal Functional Brain Imaging Research Lab at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a motivated intern to join our research applying AI to sleep and physiological signal analysis. We're exploring how foundation model approaches can help uncover meaningful biomarkers from multimodal physiological data (EEG and beyond), with the goal of better understanding sleep architecture, health, and disease.This is a great opportunity for students interested in the intersection of machine learning, signal processing, and neuroscience/physiology, and who want hands-on experience working with real-world biomedical time-series data.What you'll gain: 🔹 Experience working with large-scale physiological/biomedical datasets 🔹 Access to a high-performance computing cluster with H100/A100 GPUs 🔹 Exposure to modern deep learning approaches (representation learning, foundation models, self-supervised learning) 🔹 Mentorship in a research environment bridging AI and sleep medicine 🔹 Potential co-authorship on publications 🔹 Stipend providedWe're looking for someone with: 🔹 Background in ML/deep learning, signal processing, biomedical engineering, or a related field 🔹 Comfort with Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow a plus) 🔹 Curiosity about physiology, sleep, or health data 🔹 Prior research experience is a plus, but not requiredEligibility: 🔹 Must be currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program 🔹 Must be based in the United States 🔹 Minimum 6-month commitment (with possibility of extension)If you're excited about building AI systems that help us understand the brain and body during sleep, I'd love to hear from you!
