The experience emphasizes personalized strategies, accountability, progress tracking, and clear communication, creating both confidence and mastery for students.Role Description As a Remote Ivy League Tutor (U.S.), you will provide individualized SAT and ACT instruction to high school students through online sessions. You will design lesson plans based on each student’s goals, learning style, and current performance, leveraging Ignite’s proprietary curriculum and resources. Daily responsibilities include teaching test strategies and academic content, assigning and reviewing homework, tracking progress, and communicating updates to students and families in a clear and professional manner. You will also offer guidance on academic habits, college readiness, and admissions-related skills where appropriate. This is a full-time remote role requiring consistent availability, punctuality, and a commitment to high-impact results.Qualifications Demonstrated excellence in standardized testing, including a top-tier SAT or ACT score, preferably from an Ivy League or similarly selective institution.Strong instructional skills, including the ability to explain complex verbal, math, and test-taking concepts clearly and adaptively.Experience with online teaching or tutoring platforms and comfort using digital tools for scheduling, communication, and progress tracking.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, empathetic approach to students and families.Ability to mentor students on study habits, time management, and academic mindset in a supportive, non-judgmental way.High level of reliability, organization, and self-motivation in a remote work environment, including consistent availability for evenings or weekends as needed.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Ivy League or other highly selective university background strongly preferred.Prior experience in test prep tutoring, classroom teaching, or academic coaching is highly beneficial.Eligibility to work in the U.S. and familiarity with U.S. college admissions and standardized testing landscape.
