Beyond test preparation, Ignite supports students with college applications, extracurricular planning, and essential life skills, ensuring a holistic and results-driven experience for motivated families.Role Description The Remote Ivy League Tutor will provide personalized SAT and ACT instruction to high school students across the United States, using Ignite’s proprietary curriculum and teaching framework. This full-time remote role involves conducting one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions, leading small-group masterclasses, and offering ongoing academic support through scheduled check-ins and digital communication. The tutor will assess student strengths and gaps, design customized study plans, track progress against score goals, and adjust strategies based on performance data. In addition, the tutor may advise learners on test-taking techniques, time management, and college admissions readiness, collaborating with families to maintain clear expectations and transparent updates.Qualifications Strong standardized test expertise, including top-tier SAT and/or ACT scores and mastery of relevant content areas (Math, Reading, Writing, and critical reasoning).Instructional and tutoring skills, including experience teaching or coaching students, lesson planning, and adapting methods to different learning styles.Communication and mentoring abilities, such as clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the capacity to motivate and support diverse learners.Organizational and technical skills, including reliable time management, accurate progress tracking, and fluency with online teaching platforms and digital tools.Bachelor’s degree from an Ivy League institution (or comparable highly selective university) strongly preferred; prior experience in test prep or education is a plus.Demonstrated commitment to educational equity, professionalism in remote work settings, and eligibility to work within the United States.
