Families value Ignite’s structured accountability, progress tracking, and transparent communication, while students benefit from engaging instruction and personalized strategies that build confidence and mastery.Role Description The Remote Tutor will provide individualized SAT and ACT instruction to high school students using Ignite Test Prep’s curriculum and teaching methodologies. This full-time remote role involves leading one-on-one tutoring sessions, facilitating small-group or masterclass sessions, and offering guidance on test-taking strategies, academic skills, and college readiness. The tutor will regularly assess student performance, customize lesson plans, assign practice work, and give detailed feedback to help learners reach specific score targets. Responsibilities also include maintaining consistent communication with families, updating progress reports, and coordinating with the internal team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience. The tutor is expected to uphold high professional standards, model academic excellence, and contribute to a positive, motivating environment for ambitious students.Qualifications Strong standardized test expertise, including high personal SAT or ACT scores and deep familiarity with exam content, formats, and strategies.Demonstrated tutoring or teaching experience, particularly with high school students in test preparation, academic coaching, or college readiness.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.Proficiency with online teaching tools and learning platforms, and comfort delivering engaging instruction in a fully remote environment.Background from a U.S. institution, preferably Ivy League or similarly selective university, and strong academic credentials in relevant fields.Commitment to student success, reliability in scheduling, and the ability to manage a full-time tutoring workload with consistent follow-through.Experience supporting college applications, essay review, or academic planning is highly beneficial.
