The organization is dedicated to delivering measurable, transformative outcomes that help students stand out to top institutions.Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Remote Tutor supporting U.S.-based students with a focus on Ivy League and other highly selective admissions goals. The Remote Tutor will provide individualized SAT and ACT instruction via virtual sessions, using Ignite’s proprietary curriculum and adapting lesson plans to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace. Daily responsibilities include conducting live tutoring sessions, assigning and reviewing practice work, tracking progress, and delivering clear feedback to students and families. The tutor will also mentor students on test-taking strategies, academic habits, and aspects of college preparation, such as application planning and extracurricular alignment. Collaboration with the Ignite team to refine materials, share best practices, and maintain consistent communication standards is expected.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in SAT/ACT content and strategies, including high personal test scores or equivalent evidence of mastery.Strong instructional and mentoring skills, with experience in one-on-one or small-group teaching in an online environment.Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities to support multiple students and maintain detailed progress tracking.Comfort with educational technology, virtual classroom tools, and digital collaboration platforms.Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution; Ivy League or similarly selective university background strongly preferred.Prior experience in test preparation, academic coaching, or college admissions advising is highly beneficial.Ability to work independently, manage a full-time remote schedule, and maintain professional, responsive communication with students and families.Commitment to an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment that supports students from diverse backgrounds.
