You should be comfortable working independently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high editorial standards.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and develop original news stories, features, interviews, business updates, community stories, and industry-related content.Monitor breaking news, public announcements, industry developments, social media, official statements, and relevant information sources.Identify compelling story ideas and assess their relevance, accuracy, timeliness, and audience value.Conduct interviews with sources, experts, executives, officials, community members, and relevant stakeholders.Build and maintain professional relationships with reliable sources and contacts.Verify facts, names, dates, figures, quotes, locations, and supporting information before publication.Cross-check information using credible and authorized sources and clearly distinguish confirmed facts from unverified claims.Write clear, accurate, engaging, and well-structured articles suitable for digital and traditional media formats.Produce headlines, introductions, captions, summaries, and supporting editorial content.Adapt writing style and story structure for websites, newsletters, social-media channels, and other approved platforms.Cover assigned events, conferences, exhibitions, corporate announcements, community activities, and industry developments where required.Attend interviews, press briefings, media events, and approved reporting assignments.Take or coordinate approved photographs, recordings, notes, and other supporting material for stories.Work with editors, photographers, producers, researchers, social-media teams, and other newsroom personnel.Submit stories, drafts, interview notes, source information, and supporting materials according to editorial deadlines.Respond promptly to editorial feedback and revise content for accuracy, clarity, structure, tone, and compliance.Maintain detailed notes and source records for published and developing stories.Protect confidential sources and sensitive information in accordance with applicable editorial policies.Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose potential editorial conflicts to appropriate management.Follow responsible journalism principles, including fairness, accuracy, attribution, privacy, and appropriate source verification.Monitor developments after publication and update stories when significant verified information becomes available.Assist with follow-up reporting and longer-form investigative or feature projects.Research background information, historical context, market developments, company profiles, and public records to strengthen stories.Analyze reports, datasets, official documents, announcements, and research materials to identify relevant information and potential story angles.Translate complex financial, business, technical, or industry information into accessible language for general audiences.Maintain organized archives of interviews, research materials, source contacts, published articles, images, and supporting documentation.Assist with editorial calendars, story trackers, content schedules, and newsroom planning.Monitor audience engagement and identify topics that may require additional reporting or clarification.Prepare concise updates and summaries for editors and management.Maintain professional communication with sources, readers, organizations, and external stakeholders.Protect unpublished material, source information, editorial documents, and confidential communications.Follow company editorial policies, information-security procedures, copyright requirements, privacy standards, and applicable UAE regulations.Escalate legal, ethical, safety, security, or serious editorial concerns to appropriate editorial or management personnel.Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, audience engagement, source development, digital storytelling, and editorial efficiency.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Communications, English, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in journalism, reporting, news writing, digital media, communications, or content production is preferred.Proven ability to research, interview, fact-check, write, and deliver stories under deadlines.Strong understanding of journalistic ethics, source verification, attribution, privacy, and responsible reporting.Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.Additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, French, or Russian are advantageous.Strong interviewing, investigative, analytical, writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy.Ability to distinguish credible information from speculation, rumors, promotional content, and unverified claims.Strong research skills and familiarity with official sources, databases, public records, industry publications, and digital research tools.Comfortable communicating with senior executives, public officials, experts, business leaders, and members of the public.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with editors and newsroom teams.Strong time management and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, CMS platforms, digital publishing tools, and social-media platforms.Familiarity with content-management systems, SEO principles, analytics platforms, digital research tools, transcription software, and multimedia publishing is advantageous.Experience with photography, video, audio recording, mobile journalism, or basic multimedia editing is advantageous.UAE or GCC reporting experience and knowledge of regional business, economic, cultural, or community developments is advantageous.Journalism,
