ASR is committed to accelerating business growth by providing customised service and innovative insurance products to enable development.Role Purpose:The Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and delivery of business reports, dashboards, and analytical insights. The role involves collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to produce accurate and timely reporting that supports operational performance, business decision-making, and strategic objectives.The Reporting Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements, ensure data integrity, and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.This role would suit someone with strong numerical and problem-solving skills who is looking to build a career in data analytics and reporting.Role Responsibilities:Produce and maintain regular and ad hoc reports using the ASR reporting tools (MS Power BI and MS Excel) to support business stakeholdersAssist in the development and enhancement of reporting dashboards and other production reporting solutions, within the scope of the BIA team.Document reporting development process to ensure we maintain the ASR reporting standardsCollaborate with business teams and external stakeholders to understand their reporting requirementsAssist with continuous improvement and automation of production reportingSkills & Experience:EssentialExcellent attention to detail and accuracyGood working knowledge and intermediate Microsoft Power BI proficiency, including:Dashboard development,Data modelling, visualisation, KPI reporting, Power Query transformation,Analysis of business data to generate clear, actionable insights for operational and management decision-making.Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including:Complex formula developmentPivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot,Data modelling, dashboard creation, data visualisation, VBA/macros,Large dataset analysis and automation of reporting processesAbility to translate complex data into clear management information and actionable insights.Strong organisational and time management skillsAbility to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Exposure to business intelligence or reporting environmentsExperience working with large datasetsBasic knowledge of SQLDegree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
