Reporting and Analytics Manager | Short-Term Insurance | Sandton (Permanent)Our client, an established short-term insurer, is looking for a Reporting and Analytics Manager to lead analytics in its Pricing team. You'll turn complex data into insights that shape pricing and portfolio decisions, lead a team of analysts, and advise senior management.What you'll do:Lead and develop an analytics team, planning and prioritising its work across a diverse portfolioGive senior management insights and recommendations that inform their decisionsFind machine learning use cases and take them through to implementation using best practiceReconcile policy administration and claims transaction data to the financialsDrive data governance, including KPI definitions, data catalogues, business glossaries, data quality and stewardshipWork across Pricing, Data Engineering and the wider business, influencing beyond your own functionWhat you'll need:A postgraduate qualification in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar6+ years' analytics experience, including leading teamsAdvanced Python, SQL and Power BI skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills and confident PowerPoint presentingProject management experienceAdvantageous:Non-life (short-term) insurance analytics, pricing or portfolio management experiencePandas, Seaborn, Plotly, Scikit-learn, XGBoost or PyTorchAdditional relevant courses or certificationsPackage: R1.2m per annum, negotiableThis is an Employment Equity position, and preference will be given in line with the client's EE plan.To apply, send your CV or message me directly.
