Research Information Officer📍 Greenwich, London (office-based) 🕘 9:30am – 5:30pm | Monday – Friday 📄 Permanent roleAbout the RoleWe are working with a specialist research consultancy that produces independent labour market analysis used in employment tribunals, courts and public inquiries.Their work focuses on analysing labour market trends, salaries, benefits and employment patterns across the UK and internationally.They are now looking to hire a Research Information Officer to join their London-based research team.This role would suit someone with 1–3 years’ experience in research or analyst roles, particularly within:Market intelligenceDesk researchEconomic or labour market researchPolicy or public sector researchResearch analyst rolesUnlike many research roles, the work produced here has real-world impact — reports are regularly relied upon in employment tribunals, High Court cases and major public inquiries.What You’ll Be DoingWorking as part of a small and highly analytical research team, you will contribute to the production of labour market assessments and employment reports used in legal proceedings.Your responsibilities will include:Conducting labour market and salary research using a range of public and proprietary sourcesAnalysing salary surveys, pay scales and employment data across different occupations and sectorsProducing structured research notes, tables and written analysis for inclusion in expert reportsIdentifying and validating reliable sources and statistics relevant to specific casesSupporting research used in employment tribunal cases and wider legal proceedingsConducting primary research, including questionnaires or contacting organisations for informationUsing Excel to analyse and present salary and employment data clearlyContributing to the development and maintenance of the organisation’s research libraryThe role combines analytical desk research, data interpretation and structured written reporting.What They’re Looking ForThis role would suit someone who enjoys structured research and evidence-based analysis.Ideal candidates will have:1–3 years’ experience in a research or analyst roleStrong desk research and information gathering skillsThe ability to analyse data and draw logical conclusionsExcellent written communication skillsHigh levels of attention to detail and accuracyConfidence using Excel to analyse and present dataInterest in labour markets, employment trends or economic researchExperience with salary benchmarking, labour market data, policy research or economic datasets would be beneficial but is not essential.Why This Role Is InterestingResearch that directly influences legal decisionsExposure to employment law, labour markets and economic analysisWork on high-profile cases and major public inquiriesJoin a small, intellectually rigorous research teamDevelop deep expertise in labour market and salary analysisLocationThe role is based in Greenwich, London, and candidates should be comfortable working in the office full-time initially.Next StepsIf you enjoy digging into data, uncovering reliable evidence and producing structured research outputs, this role offers a unique opportunity to apply those skills in a highly impactful environment.
