Job Description
Newmark seeks a talented professional with a deep interest in the New York City commercial real estate market to join its growing research team. The position will support all aspects of the department, including contributions to internal databases, production of market statistics, market analysis, and production of reports. This position presents an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development within the company, sitting in the company’s headquarters.
Responsibilities
Contribute to internal proprietary databases, including but not limited to lease comparables, stacking plans and tenants in the market.Support the process of determining market statistics for all New York City marketsAssist in the production of market reports, white papers, and trend pieces by creating and/or editing contentSupport the production of customized research material for sales professionals and their clients upon requestPrepare standardized quarterly slides of current trends for client presentations and pitchesAttend internal sales meetings to capture market data and informationOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, economics, or a closely related field1-3 years of relevant working experience a plusAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentWorking knowledge of the New York City office marketAbility to identify trends and develop industry reportsStrong analytical writing skillsExperience with data entry and database managementAdvanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in other MS Office programsExperience with CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, Trepp, Oxford and Pitchbook a plusAbility to demonstrate familiarity with AI-powered tools and language models, including using them to research, analyze data, automate routine workflows, synthesize information, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of business deliverables.Salary Range:The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
