Research Analyst - Data Centers

About the RoleAterio is looking for a Research Analyst to join our Data Center team, covering the global expansion of hyperscaler and cloud infrastructure. Our data supports investment decisions for hedge funds, asset managers, and technology companies tracking data centers and digital infrastructure.You’ll bring an investment research mindset to tracking capacity growth, power availability, capital expenditure, and the strategic moves of major hyperscalers. This is a highly analytical, detail-oriented role with deep exposure to the infrastructure supporting AI and cloud computing.What You’ll Do

• Track data center capacity and infrastructure development across AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Oracle, and other major operators.
• Build and maintain financial and market models covering capex, capacity growth, and investment activity.
• Analyze earnings calls, regulatory filings, company announcements, and industry developments.
• Research power availability, utility connections, and energy constraints affecting data center projects.
• Produce clear, well-sourced research notes and market intelligence for internal and client use.
• Maintain and improve Aterio’s datasets covering projects, capacity, timelines, and company profiles.
• Support institutional clients with research and analysis addressing their investment questions.What We’re Looking For
• 1–4 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or comparable industry research.
• An understanding of major hyperscalers, cloud providers, and their infrastructure ecosystems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to turn complex information into clear conclusions.
• Fluent written and spoken English for global research and client-facing work.
• A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Based in Bogotá or able to commute for a hybrid role.Helpful Experience
• Research or analysis in the energy sector, particularly power generation, utilities, electricity markets, or grid infrastructure.
• Coverage of data centers, digital infrastructure, or related technology markets.
• Capacity and capex analysis.
