Research Analyst — Offshore Division

قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجLocation: Dubai, UAEReports to: Head of Offshore / Commercial DirectorRole PurposeSupport commercial, chartering, and investment decisions across SPM's offshore support vessel (OSV) fleet through market research, data analysis, and reporting.Key Responsibilities• Track offshore vessel markets (OSVs, AHTS, PSVs) — day rates, utilization, tonnage supply/demand across key regions (Middle East, West Africa, Southeast Asia)• Monitor E&P capex cycles, rig counts, and offshore project sanctioning that drive OSV demand• Build and maintain databases on vessel ownership, newbuild orders, and fleet age profiles• Prepare charter market reports and rate benchmarking for chartering negotiations• Support vessel acquisition/disposal evaluations with market comps and earnings assumptions• Track competitor fleets, contracts won/lost, and tendering activity• Prepare investment committee papers and presentations for offshore projects• Liaise with brokers, class societies, and industry data providers (Clarksons, VesselsValue, Rystad, etc.)Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Economics, Finance, or Engineering• 2–5 years' experience in shipping research, offshore/E&P analysis, or a broking/chartering house• Strong Excel/financial modeling skills; familiarity with Clarksons SIN, VesselsValue, or similar platforms• Understanding of offshore support vessel operations and charter party structures• Excellent written English for report drafting• Ability to work with cross-border teams (Dubai, Singapore, India)Preferred• Prior exposure to VLCC/tanker or dry bulk markets alongside offshore• Knowledge of Middle East offshore E&P landscape (ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy)
