The institute has welcomed distinguished speakers, including Nobel laureates and renowned academics, and is committed to advancing thought leadership and scholarly exchange.Role Description The Research and Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based in Colombo. This role involves designing and conducting research projects to support conference themes, programs, and strategic initiatives. The Specialist will analyze data, prepare reports, and generate insights to strengthen TIIKM’s academic offerings and partnerships. Daily tasks include collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to proposal development, and ensuring research outputs align with conference objectives and quality standards. The role also requires staying current with emerging trends in relevant disciplines and integrating these into conference agendas and publications.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills for designing studies, gathering data, and generating actionable insights.Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate trends, and support evidence-based decision-making.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly and collaborate with diverse academic and professional stakeholders.Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills when required for subject-specific research or experimental activities.Experience in academic or conference-related research, including literature reviews and proposal writing, is highly beneficial.A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Sciences, Management, or a related discipline is preferred.Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is important.Proficiency in research tools, data analysis software, and MS Office, along with strong attention to detail, will be an advantage.
