You will harness the Institute’s proprietary financial health and resilience Index data, other indices, instruments and market research to uncover strategic and tactical actionable insights, recommendations and opportunities that deliver value and results.Working collaboratively with the CEO, Senior Statistician and Consultant, our Senior Impact and Engagement Consultant and integrated team, you will independently lead reports and client deliverables while supporting the Institute’s analytics work. You will apply statistical analytics to data on the financial health and resilience and financial well-being of individuals, employees, small businesses and other target populations, leveraging our world-class Indices and proven methodologies.You are a business-oriented, data-savvy and results-focused professional who can explain statistical findings and translate insights into compelling reports and deliverables for clients, partners and ecosystems. Proactively lead powerful ecosystem and customized reports in PowerPoint, Word and other formats, while presenting key findings.Analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to financial inclusion challenges for underserved and target populations; climate change and household financial vulnerability; the impact of financial behaviours and interventions on household financial health and resilience; SME and non-profit financial resilience insights; business benefits of financial health and wellness initiatives for financial institutions or Employers; and other key areas of intelligence in line with the Institute’s work and impact goals.Proven ability to independently develop polished research reports or insight presentations from quantitative data, with a strong portfolio or examples of previous analytical reporting work.Proactivity and strong ability to contextualize data and stay abreast of financial stressors of households and underserved populations, employees, SMEs and communities; key levers for financial health impact; financial health product, service, policy and program innovations; and relevant best practices in Canada and globally, applying insights to add value to the Institute’s deliverables, offerings and recommendations.Lead multiple concurrent projects and analyses, delivering high-quality, robust reports with minimal errors.Support customized research analytics projects and solutions using qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Serve as a specialist and research expert, liaising directly with clients and partners as required.Optimize processes and identify creative ways to efficiently develop high-quality reports, proposals and other deliverables.Produce regular bite-sized insights, compelling charts and key trends for reports, intelligence and engaging presentations.Help develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and interactive reporting tools, to optimize the value of the Institute’s trended datasets and Indices. Work under the direction of the Senior Statistician and Consultant and CEO while leveraging AI-enabled processes.Support the development of leading Financial Well-Being, Non-Profit Financial Resilience and other studies in Canada and globally, providing planned and unplanned data analytics and insights while managing multiple deliverables in tandem.Collaborate on data governance and security models that support privacy, data utilization and efficiency, while proactively safeguarding data integrity by identifying data issues and addressing gaps.Act as an internal advisor by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights and recommending client solutions in collaboration with the team.Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsUniversity Degree in Economics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Social Sciences or a quantitative discipline, with at least 2 to 3 years of post-degree work experience.Proven ability to independently develop polished research reports or insight presentations from quantitative data, with a strong portfolio or examples of previous analytical reporting work.Strong applied quantitative analysis skills, including survey data analysis, cross-tabulation, statistician significance testing, weighted analysis, trend analysis, segmentation and interpretation of Index and composite measures.Excellent report-development and writing skills and fluency in business English.Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct secondary research, integrate survey results with other data sources, and translate findings into compelling narratives, visuals and actionable “so what?” implications for clients and stakeholders.Strong ability to contextualize data and translate advanced statistical terminology and outputs into clear, meaningful business insights, policy, strategy or action-orientated opportunities and implications.Ability to distinguish between an interesting statistical result and a meaningful insight to contextualize findings without overstating causality.Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative insights and trends to enable the Institute’s Index and other data to complement or build on other studies or qualitative research and analysis.Strong data visualization and presentation-development skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and professionally in PowerPoint; proficiency in data analysis, visualization, drawing out of key insights from trended data, data quality and clean-up.Advanced knowledge and capabilities in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
