Company Description Ekrishibd is a Bangladesh-based agri-tech organization that empowers local farmers by connecting them directly to retailers. Using IoT and Blockchain technologies, the company enables real-time tracking of produce and ensures transparent, tamper-proof pricing. This approach reduces reliance on traditional middlemen, helping to lower costs and increase earnings for farmers. By improving supply chain efficiency, Ekrishibd supports fresher produce for consumers and more sustainable livelihoods for farming communities.Role Description The Research Assistant will support research activities focused on improving agricultural processes, supply chain efficiency, and technology adoption for farmers. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing data from field studies and laboratory experiments, assisting in designing and implementing research protocols, and conducting basic data analysis to generate reports and insights. The role also involves preparing documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating findings to project leads and stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chattogram, Bangladesh.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in Data Analysis to interpret research findings and support evidence-based recommendations.Candidates should possess solid Research capabilities, including study design support, data collection, and documentation of methodologies.Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills suitable for handling samples, following safety protocols, and performing basic experiments where required.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with team members, engaging with farmers and stakeholders, and preparing clear reports and presentations.Relevant academic background in agriculture, environmental science, data science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) is preferred.Familiarity with IoT, Blockchain, or digital agriculture tools is an advantage, along with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team are beneficial.Comfort with fieldwork in rural settings and a commitment to supporting farmer-centric solutions in Bangladesh are valuable assets.
