The Research Assistant will support data-driven projects by gathering, organizing, and analyzing information related to food imports, regulatory developments, and market trends. Day-to-day tasks include conducting literature and market research, assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents, and maintaining research databases. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to collect relevant data, supporting laboratory or product testing activities where applicable, and ensuring accurate documentation of findings. The Research Assistant will contribute to projects that inform policy recommendations, industry guidance, and member communication.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities to interpret complex information and generate meaningful insights.Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including literature review, market research, and data collection methods.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly in written reports and verbal briefings.Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills when required for product sampling, testing support, and basic quality assessment.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, economics, business, or a related field.Proficiency in productivity and data tools (e.g., Excel, spreadsheets, presentation software); familiarity with statistical software is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Interest in the food and beverage sector, import regulations, and trade practices; prior internship or experience in a related domain is a plus.
