The Centre encourages interdisciplinary work, evidence-based thinking, and innovation that can benefit local communities and broader scientific fields.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Assistant role based in Satara at Rayat Science and Innovation Activity Centre. The Research Assistant will support ongoing research projects by conducting literature reviews, collecting and organizing data, and assisting with experimental design and implementation in laboratory and field settings. Daily tasks include preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording observations, performing data entry, and contributing to data analysis and interpretation under the guidance of senior researchers. The role also involves preparing progress reports, assisting with research documentation and presentations, and collaborating with students and faculty on science and innovation activities. The Research Assistant is expected to follow safety protocols, uphold research ethics, and contribute to a productive and inclusive work environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities to interpret research findings and support evidence-based conclusions.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to present results clearly, collaborate with team members, and prepare reports or presentations.Candidates should possess solid Research skills, including literature review, data collection, and documentation of methods and outcomes.Candidates should possess competent Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of equipment, adherence to protocols, and accurate record-keeping.Relevant educational background in science or related fields (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or similar discipline) is preferred.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively are beneficial.Familiarity with basic statistical tools or software, and comfort with using computers for data management and reporting, is an advantage.Interest in scientific innovation, willingness to learn new techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team are highly valued.
