Binh Duong University (BDU) – Department of Science and International RelationsBinh Duong University is seeking a Research Assistant to support academic research projects in management, business, economics, social sciences, and related interdisciplinary areas.The appointed candidate will work closely with academic researchers and research teams in conducting literature reviews, collecting and managing research data, supporting quantitative and qualitative analysis, preparing research materials, and contributing to reports, presentations, conference papers, and academic manuscripts.This position is particularly suitable for recent graduates and postgraduate students in Management, Business Administration, Economics, and Social Sciences who are interested in developing practical research skills and gaining experience in academic research and international publication.POSITION INFORMATIONPosition: Research Assistant

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, VietnamEmployment type: On-sitePOSITION SUMMARYThe Research Assistant will support ongoing and prospective research projects undertaken by researchers at Binh Duong University.

The role involves assisting throughout different stages of the research process, from literature review and research design to data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, and research dissemination.The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of designated researchers or project leaders and may participate in research projects involving Vietnamese and international academic collaborators.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities may vary according to the nature and stage of individual research projects and may include:Conduct academic literature searches and structured literature reviews using databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and other relevant academic sources.Search, screen, organise, and summarise academic literature.Support the preparation and administration of questionnaires, surveys, interviews, and other data collection activities.Assist with primary and secondary data collection.Clean, organise, code, and maintain research datasets.Support research project coordination, including meetings, progress tracking, documentation, and communication with research team members.Support academic seminars, workshops, conferences, and other research-related activities.Undertake other research-related duties appropriate to the scope of the position.KEY SELECTION CRITERIACandidates should meet the following minimum requirements:Hold at least a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.Candidates from Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Sociology, Psychology, Public Policy, International Relations, Education, or other Social Science disciplines are particularly encouraged to apply.Recent graduates and candidates currently undertaking postgraduate study are welcome.Demonstrated interest in academic research and scientific publication.Basic understanding of research methodology.Ability to organise data and work carefully with research documents.Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively in Vietnamese and English.Good organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a research team.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following are advantageous but not mandatory:Previous participation in university research projects, undergraduate research, theses, dissertations, or academic publications.Experience with survey design or data collection.Familiarity with quantitative or qualitative research methods.Strong academic English reading and writing skills.Candidates are not expected to already possess advanced proficiency in every research method or software package.
