Company Description Priesterseminar Collegium Borromaeum is an educational and formation community dedicated to preparing candidates for lifelong service in pastoral and spiritual roles. Over a structured 13‑month period, candidates deepen their understanding of pastoral care and community life. The seminary views priesthood and related vocations as ongoing processes of learning, growth, and maturity, and supports individuals in developing personally and professionally over time.Role Description The Research Assistant will support academic and pastoral research projects that contribute to the mission and educational programs of Priesterseminar Collegium Borromaeum. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Freiburg Area involves conducting literature reviews, collecting and organizing data, assisting with laboratory or empirical studies where applicable, and preparing summaries and reports for faculty and project leads. The Research Assistant will help design research methodologies, maintain accurate records and documentation, and ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Daily tasks include collaborating with academic staff, participating in team meetings, preparing materials for publication or internal use, and providing general research support aligned with the seminary’s focus on lifelong learning and pastoral development.Qualifications Strong Research and Analytical Skills to support the design, execution, and interpretation of academic and applied projects.Effective Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and collaboration with faculty and peers.Proficiency in Data Analysis, including use of relevant tools or software to manage, analyze, and visualize research findings.Applicable Laboratory Skills or empirical research experience, especially in maintaining accurate records and following protocols.Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology, religious studies, social sciences, or a related field.Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an academic setting.Demonstrated integrity, respect for diverse perspectives, and interest in pastoral, educational, or community-focused research.Comfort working on-site in the Greater Freiburg Area and willingness to engage with the seminary community.
