About the RoleA growing clinical research site in Century City, Los Angeles is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join its clinical operations team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in clinical research within a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.You will work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators and the wider research team to support the successful delivery of clinical trials while ensuring participants receive a professional and positive experience.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Clinical Research Coordinators and Investigators with the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials.Assist with participant screening, enrollment and scheduling.Support study visits and ensure protocol-required procedures are completed accurately.Perform and document vital signs, height, weight and other clinical assessments.Assist with phlebotomy, blood draws and specimen collection where trained and required.Process, label, prepare and ship biological specimens according to study protocols.Support 12-lead ECGs and other study-specific assessments.Maintain accurate source documentation and study records.Assist with data entry into electronic data capture systems.Support participant recruitment, retention and follow-up activities.Ensure study documentation is complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with GCP, SOPs and protocol requirements.Assist with preparation for monitoring visits, audits and inspections.Communicate professionally with study participants and clinical research staff.Maintain a clean, organized and compliant clinical research environment.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in clinical research, healthcare or a patient-facing medical environment.A strong interest in developing a career within clinical research.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical research site.A professional and patient-focused approach.Ability to follow detailed protocols and SOPs accurately.Basic understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is preferred.Experience with phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs or specimen processing is highly desirable.Previous experience working with clinical trial participants is a strong advantage.EducationA Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as:BiologyLife SciencesHealth SciencesNursingPublic HealthPsychologyBiomedical Sciencesor a related disciplineTherapeutic AreasExperience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:VaccinesMetabolic / Obesity / DiabetesCardiovascularInfectious DiseaseRespiratoryCNS / NeurologyGeneral Phase I–IV Clinical ResearchWhat We're Looking ForThis role would suit someone who is hands-on, ambitious and eager to develop within clinical research.You don't need to be a senior CRC — we're particularly interested in candidates who have strong clinical or healthcare foundations, are comfortable working directly with patients and want to develop their skills within a high-performing research site.
