Wanted:  Research Assistant, Molecular and Cell Biology, NodoN IncLocation: NodoN Inc, Austin, TexasWe are seeking a Research Assistant to join our dedicated and innovative research team at NodoN Bio. This role provides hands-on technical and operational support to our Senior Scientist as we build a best-in-class technology platform for producing novel protein therapeutics. The successful candidate will work at the bench alongside a senior scientific leader, executing experiments, generating high-quality data, and helping advance projects that have a direct impact on the company's strategic direction. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist to develop deep expertise in protein therapeutics and mammalian genome engineering.Core ResponsibilitiesWorking under the direction of the Senior Scientist, the Research Assistant will execute experiments, maintain detailed lab records, prepare reagents and samples, manage lab inventory and equipment, and contribute to the analysis and presentation of results.Core Technical Skills & ExpertiseMolecular and Cell Biology:Proficiency with primer design, PCR, and standard cloning workflows.Familiarity with gene expression cassette design, construct assembly, and basic QC.Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture; exposure to CHO or HEK cell lines preferred.Comfort with sterile technique, routine cell-line maintenance, and working in a laminar flow hood.Experience running cell-based assays such as fluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry is a plus.Interest in learning high-throughput gene editing and whole genome sequencing workflows.Genomic Analysis:Exposure to NGS or long-read sequencing library preparation is desirable.Basic comfort working with sequencing analysis, QC outputs, and bioinformatics pipelines, or eagerness to learn.Desired Qualifications & ExperienceBA/BS in molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering, biochemistry, or a related field with 0–3 years of relevant lab experience; or MS with 0–2 years of experience.Prior internship, co-op, or research experience in an academic or industry wet lab strongly preferred.Familiarity with SnapGene, Excel, and PowerPoint; basic exposure to R or Python is a plus.Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills, and meticulous record-keeping.Good written and oral communication, and the ability to take direction while also working independently on assigned tasks.
