Job Description:HCT is looking for a Research Associate – Robotics and Autonomous Systems to provide technical and research support to the RAS Research Centre.Roles & Responsibilities:Support robotics research and development projectDesign, integrate, test and validate robotic systemInstall, configure and maintain ROS/ROS 2 environmentSupport laboratory experiments, field trials and prototype demonstrationsMaintain robotic platforms, laboratory equipment, software and computing infrastructureCoordinate procurement of equipment, software licence and research materialsMaintain laboratory inventories, asset registers and maintenance recordsContribute to technical reports, research publications and funding proposalsSupport industry collaborations and technical demonstrationsMentor students involved in capstone projects, research activities and robotics competitionsEnsure compliance with laboratory health and safety requirements.Required Skills:ROS / ROS 2Robotics system integrationRobotic hardware developmentSystem testing and validationExperimental design and field testingLaboratory equipment managementPrototype developmentTechnical troubleshootingSoftware developmentResearch documentationAnalytical problem-solvingTeamwork and communicatingQualification:M.Sc. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science with Robotics/AI specialization
