Research Associate - Drug Discovery

At Zafrens we are pioneering an ultra-high throughput drug discovery approach based on multiomic cell analysis. We are seeking an entrepreneurial Research Associate who can work across our assay development and hit-validation campaigns. The role involves:Develop cell-based imaging assays for diverse targets and adapt them for use in our miniaturized screening format. The ability to independently develop and optimize reporter cell assays, immunofluorescence assays and viability assays is highly desired, but an enthusiasm to run routine assays and screening campaigns is welcome, as well.Assist in running high-throughput screening experiments in proprietary spatially encoded devices and drug libraries. Assist or independently develop hit-validation workflows, including target deconvolution (pooled or arrayed CRISPRi libraries), target engagement (e.g., CETSA), proliferation, cell-cell interaction and cytokine secretion assays.Assist in various genomic assays, including library preparation, qPCR, reporter gene construction and functional genomics experiments.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working on drug discovery programs in industry or academia. We strongly prefer candidates who can run cell and molecular biology experiments with minimal supervision.
