Founded in 2025 and backed by top-tier investors, we are bringing this technology into clinical practice.Role Overview:The Research Associate is responsible for hands-on processing of clinical and biobank specimens through the full laboratory workflow, from sample receipt through sequencing-ready libraries. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced research environment and brings exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and care to every sample processed.
Key Responsibilities
Biobank and process urine, plasma, and tissue specimensPerform molecular biology workflow end-to-end including cell free nucleic acid extraction and NGS library preparationPerform and analyze quantification and quality control (Qubit, Fragment Analyzer / TapeStation, RT-qPCR)Maintain accurate sample and aliquot tracking through the workflow in accordance with naming conventions and chain-of-custody SOPsDocument results in the electronic laboratory notebook and prepare run-level summariesSupport research projects with external collaborators, including preparation of study summariesContribute to assay development, optimization, and process improvement as the platform scales
Qualifications
BS or MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, genetics, or a related fieldPrior hands-on wet laboratory experienceProficiency in core molecular biology technique, including accurate pipetting, PCR/qPCR, nucleic acid extraction, and gel or capillary electrophoresisStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated care in maintaining sample identityAbility to closely follow laboratory SOPs and appropriate laboratory safety protocolsProficiency with managing tabular data, for example in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tablesClear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently following trainingNice to Have:NGS library preparation experienceExperience with column-based purification methods, PCR/qPCR, and/or nucleic acid extractionFamiliarity with LIMS or other structured sample tracking systemsExperience working under SOPs, in a regulated environment, or within a quality management systemBasic data analysis skills
