The ideal candidate will support the advancement of our pipeline by performing microbial culture, genetic manipulation, and molecular characterization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge scientific discoveries in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute routine microbiology workflows, including the isolation, cultivation, and maintenance of various bacterial strains or other microorganisms.Perform standard molecular biology techniques, including genomic and plasmid DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and molecular cloning (e.g., restriction digestion, ligation, transformation).Assist in the engineering of microbial strains using CRISPR, homologous recombination, or plasmid-based expression systems.Design and execute phenotypic assays, compound screening, and growth kinetics studies.Maintain detailed, accurate, and up-to-date electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) in compliance with documentation standards.Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings clearly during internal team meetings.Manage laboratory infrastructure by monitoring inventory, preparing standard buffers and media, and ensuring the routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.Qualifications and RequirementsEducation: Aocciate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related biological sciences discipline.Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in an academic or industrial biotechnology setting.
Technical Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and bacterial cell culture.Solid grounding in foundational molecular biology workflows (PCR, cloning, nucleic acid purification).Experience with sequence analysis software (e.g., NanoString, RNAseq) and data analysis tools (e.g., Rosalind, GraphPad Prism, Excel) is highly desirable.Soft Skills:Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to laboratory safety and quality standards.
