Title: Research Associate – Research DiscoveryLocation: Philadelphia, PAWork Arrangement: Onsite – 5 Days/WeekAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join an innovative In Vivo Discovery research team focused on developing targeted vectors to reprogram cells in vivo for the treatment of cancer.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist with a strong foundation in biological sciences and hands-on laboratory experience. The Research Associate will work closely with experienced scientists to perform laboratory experiments, execute established protocols, analyze experimental data, and develop core research skills in a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine laboratory experiments and simple to moderately complex assays following established protocols.Execute experimental procedures accurately while following good laboratory practices and safety guidelines.Support molecular biology and other laboratory research activities.Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using tools such as Excel, Prism, and other software.Maintain accurate experimental records and electronic laboratory notebooks using Benchling.Troubleshoot basic experimental issues and seek guidance when needed.Assist with technical summaries, presentations, and communication of research findings.Collaborate with scientists and research team members to support project goals.Learn new laboratory techniques, protocols, and instrumentation.Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.Contribute to a positive and team-oriented research culture.Occasional weekend work may be required.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related Life Science field.2+ years of hands-on laboratory research experience, including internships or co-op experience.Strong understanding of basic biological sciences and laboratory techniques.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.Familiarity with basic data analysis and visualization.Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Eagerness to learn new laboratory techniques and equipment.Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Prism.Ability to work onsite in a laboratory environment 5 days per week.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with molecular biology techniques.Experience culturing bacteria and performing bacterial transformation.Experience with plasmid cloning, amplification, and analysis.Experience using Benchling or other electronic laboratory notebooks.Previous experience in an academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or research laboratory.Apply now or send your updated resume to sudheer.batha@nexinfo.com
