Research Coordinator

FLOORSPACE is a Vancouver-based commercial real estate brokerage and technology company. We advise companies on leasing decisions across Metro Vancouver, combining market knowledge, research and technology to give our clients better information and better advice.We’re looking for a Research Coordinator to join our team. This is an entry-level role for someone who is curious about commercial real estate, strong with data and detail, and interested in learning how the Vancouver market works from the ground up.The RoleResearch is an important part of how we work at FLOORSPACE. You’ll help maintain the market intelligence our brokerage team relies on every day - from tracking buildings, companies and leasing activity to supporting client assignments, prospecting and market analysis.The role combines desk-based research with time in the market, including property tours and building walks throughout Metro Vancouver.What You’ll DoResearch Vancouver’s commercial real estate market, including buildings, tenants, vacancies, leasing activity and market trendsMaintain and improve the accuracy of our internal property, company and leasing dataTrack changes in the market and identify information that may be relevant to our brokerage team and clientsConduct building walks and property visits to develop firsthand knowledge of the marketResearch companies and prospective clients to support business development and prospectingHelp prepare market surveys, research materials and client-facing analysisWork closely with our brokers to respond to research requests and support active assignmentsUse FLO, our proprietary brokerage platform, to organize and maintain market informationHelp identify better ways to collect, organize and present dataSupport additional research and brokerage projects as requiredWhat We’re Looking ForYou don’t need previous commercial real estate experience, but you do need to be curious, organized and willing to learn.Ideally, you bring:A bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, urban planning, economics, business or a related fieldStrong research and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and a high standard for accuracyComfort working with data and Microsoft ExcelClear written and verbal communication skillsAn interest in commercial real estate, business and technologyThe initiative to find answers rather than wait for themGood judgment around priorities and deadlinesA collaborative approach and willingness to receive feedbackAn interest in getting out of the office and learning the market firsthandWhy FLOORSPACEFLOORSPACE is a growing independent brokerage where research is closely connected to the work our brokers and clients are doing every day.
