The OpportunityAn established, specialist healthcare and medical devices market research consultancy is looking to add an experienced Research Director to its growing US team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll lead custom research projects from design through delivery, partnering with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on strategic commercial challenges.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the work—not just overseeing projects, but actively designing research, interpreting findings, and presenting actionable recommendations to clients.Key Responsibilities: Design and manage qualitative and quantitative healthcare market research projects from proposal through final delivery.Develop screeners, discussion guides, and write quantitative surveys aligned with client objectives.Lead project execution, ensuring high-quality research design and seamless project delivery.Review, analyse, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate meaningful commercial insights.Produce clear, compelling reports and presentations tailored for senior pharmaceutical stakeholders.Moderate qualitative interviews, focus groups, and advisory boards with healthcare professionals, patients, payers, and other stakeholders.Work directly with clients to understand business challenges and provide strategic recommendations.Collaborate closely with internal teams while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.What We're Looking For5+ years' experience in MedTech and pharmaceutical market research.Strong experience across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.Proven experience writing surveys and designing research that answers complex commercial questions.Confidence reviewing and interpreting data to develop strategic client recommendations.Excellent report writing and storytelling skills with the ability to present findings to clients.Experience moderating qualitative research, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, or online discussions.Comfortable operating in a genuine "doer" role, remaining actively involved in project delivery rather than solely managing teams.
