Research SpecialistRole PurposeThe Research Specialist supports the development and delivery of the organization's research agenda by conducting high-quality research, analysis, and knowledge production aligned with institutional priorities in interfaith dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and human fraternity. The role contributes to the generation of impactful research outputs and supports evidence-based program development and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth research and analysis on topics related to interfaith dialogue, coexistence, and global issues aligned with the organization's research priorities.Support the development of research outputs including reports, policy briefs, white papers, and thought leadership publications.Assist in gathering, reviewing, and synthesizing data from multiple sources to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and quality of research deliverables.Contribute to the implementation of research methodologies, frameworks, and analytical tools in line with academic and institutional standards.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, fellows, and subject matter experts, to support research activities.Support the preparation of research materials, presentations, and briefing notes for internal use and external dissemination.Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and academic review standards across all research outputs.Translate research findings into practical insights that support program development, advocacy efforts, and informed decision-making.Monitor trends, emerging topics, and global developments relevant to the organization's research agenda.Support the organization and maintenance of research activities, databases, and knowledge repositories.Shared ResponsibilitiesCarry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure work is carried out consistently and effectively.Demonstrate the organization's values and ethical standards at all times.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance systems, processes, productivity, and sustainability.Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and comply with all applicable occupational health and safety policies, regulations, and procedures.Report incidents, near misses, occupational illnesses, unsafe practices, and unsafe conditions promptly, and participate in investigations where required.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Religious Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).3–5 years of relevant experience in research, analysis, or policy development.Experience in academic, think tank, or research-focused environments is preferred.SkillsStrong research and analytical skills.Excellent writing and documentation skills (reports, policy briefs, and publications).Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.Effective stakeholder coordination and communication skills.Knowledge of interfaith dialogue, cultural studies, or related fields is an advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research tools/databases
