About ResearchBuddy AIResearchBuddy AI is a research collaboration platform that connects students and early career researchers with academic supervisors through AI powered virtual labs. We are a member of Crossref (DOI prefix 10.66645), partnered with the ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh, and home to a community of 130+ supervisors and 10,000+ researchers.We are looking for Research Supervisors who want to run their own virtual research lab, mentor a cohort of students, and guide them to a completed research manuscript.The RoleAs a Research Supervisor, you will lead your own virtual lab under your name. Each cohort runs for 6 to 8 months, and the goal is for your students to complete a research manuscript by the end of the cycle.What you will do- Supervise a cohort of 20 to 30 students in your own virtual lab- Hold one live online session of one hour every week- Guide students through topic selection, literature review, methodology, analysis, and manuscript writing- Check the app or WhatsApp daily and respond to student questions- Post about your lab on the ResearchBuddy AI app and your own network to attract students- Optionally offer Premium Support to students who want extra guidanceWhat we provide- Full access to our AI powered virtual lab platform and collaboration tools- Student sourcing, depending on your chosen plan- Training session with our Chief Research Officer and team before your lab launches- DOI registration support for eligible research outputs through our Crossref membership- Experience certificate on completion of a cohortEarningsStudents pay BDT 1,200 ($10) per month on the Standard Plan. You earn a share based on how your students join:- Tier 1 (Regular): 50%. We provide the students, you focus on teaching.- Tier 2 (Network and Marketing): 60%. At least half of your students join through your network.- Tier 3 (Full Management): 70%. Over 80% of students join through your network and you manage the lab end to end.Example: a Tier 1 lab with 25 students earns you BDT 15,000 per month.Premium Support Plan (optional): students can pay BDT 2,000 per month for extra support. You earn BDT 1,200 per premium student per month (60%, regardless of tier) and provide 2 to 4 additional one to one or small group support sessions per month. You can turn this on or off for your lab.Who we are looking for- Completed Bachelor's degree in any field (Master's or PhD is a plus)- At least 2 published research papers- Research in a field that can be supervised remotely, such as computational work, simulation, machine learning and AI, secondary data analysis, GIS and remote sensing, social sciences, or public health- Comfortable teaching online through Zoom or Google Meet- Teaching, supervision, or mentoring experience is a plus but not requiredHow it works after you apply1.
