HireLevel is hiring a Research Technician in Evansville, IN. The Research Technician supports the Research & Development team by assisting with product development, formulation testing, and evaluation of new raw materials. This role performs laboratory testing, sample preparation, recordkeeping, and provides technical support for plant trials and other departments as needed.The Research Technician plays a key role in ensuring accurate data collection, safe laboratory practices, and organized documentation throughout the product development process.Location: Evansville, INShift: Monday - Friday 2nd shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm ($2/hr shift premium) Monday – Friday3rd shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am ($2/hr shift premium) Monday – FridayPay: $19 - $21/hr.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProduce and test sample batches for product development and formulationPerform testing on new and existing raw materialsMaintain accurate records related to product development and testing resultsPrepare test data, samples, and documentation for internal use and product submissionsMaintain raw material records and submit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for samplesProvide technical support during plant trials and scale-up activitiesSubmit new gauges to Quality Assurance for calibration record initiationPerform required annual testing and maintain supporting recordsHandle hazardous waste safely when requiredFollow all chemical handling, laboratory, and equipment safety proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environmentSupport other departments with technical or testing assistance as directedMeet Research Technician safety and performance metrics, including TCIR expectationsRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively with chemists, production, and quality teamsHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reportingProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to follow documented laboratory procedures and work instructionsTraining in techniques outlined in Research & Development Laboratory Personnel Training RecordsEducation & ExperienceEducation: High School Diploma requiredExperience: Research or laboratory experience preferred; manufacturing, chemical, or technical lab experience a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs regularlyCombination of standing, walking, sitting, and movement throughout the lab and facilityFrequent use of fine motor skills and handling of lab samples and materialsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as neededVisual acuity and mental focus required for testing and data analysisWho is HireLevel?
