Joining TaskHived offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge work in AI validation and governance in a fast-moving start-up environment.Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Researcher role based in Singapore, with the flexibility to work part of the week from home. The Researcher will design and conduct studies to evaluate AI systems, focusing on reliability, robustness, and alignment with real-world requirements. Day-to-day tasks include defining research questions, collecting and analyzing data, developing evaluation frameworks, and documenting findings in clear, structured reports. The Researcher will collaborate with engineering, product, and client teams to translate research insights into practical validation tools and methodologies. The role also involves staying current with AI safety, evaluation, and governance literature, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.Qualifications Strong analytical and research skills, including experience designing experiments, conducting empirical studies, and interpreting quantitative or qualitative data.Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or data science concepts, with the ability to understand model behavior, limitations, and evaluation metrics.Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and to manage multiple research projects in a start-up environment.Relevant academic background (e.g., computer science, data science, statistics, engineering, or related field); graduate-level study or research experience is an advantage.Familiarity with AI ethics, AI safety, governance, or regulatory frameworks is beneficial.Comfort with hybrid work, including onsite collaboration in Singapore and independent work from home.
