The organization values scientific rigor, ethical innovation, and long-term impact in healthcare and material science.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Researcher role based in Maribor, Slovenia. The Researcher will design and advance cellular platforms used to construct the digital twins to support material safety assessment and disease prediction. Daily responsibilities include designing the concepts, planning and executing experiments, documenting results, and interpreting data to generate meaningful scientific insights. The role involves also contribution to research proposals, preparing reports and publications, and collaborating closely with internal and external partners on joint projects. The Researcher will also help optimize existing testing methods, explore new assay development, and ensure compliance with relevant ethical, safety, and quality standards.QualificationsStrong background in cellular biology, biophysics, biomedical sciences, toxicology, pharmacology, or a related field, with experience in in vitro or cell-based models.Hands-on laboratory skills in experimental design, data collection, advance microscopies, and quantitative data analysis, ideally involving tissue models.Ability to prepare clear scientific documentation, including experimental protocols, reports, and contributions to publications or presentations.Familiarity with material safety assessment, disease modeling, or translational research, and an interest in animal-free testing methods.PhD in a relevant scientific discipline; prior research or industry experience is highly beneficial.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Good communication skills in English.Commitment to ethical research practices, laboratory safety, and continuous professional development.
