As a Reservations Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing bookings, providing information about our hotel services, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques.Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems, ensuring accuracy and timelinessProvide detailed information about hotel accommodations, rates, packages, and special offers to potential guestsUtilize up-selling techniques to maximize room revenue and promote hotel servicesEnter and maintain reservation data in the property management system (PMS) with a high level of accuracyFollow up on guest requests and inquiries within 24 hours of receiptAssist with group bookings and manage allotments as directed by managementCollaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences from reservation to check-outMonitor and update hotel availability to optimize occupancy ratesPrepare daily reports on reservations, cancellations, and modificationsMaintain knowledge of local attractions and events to assist guests with inquiriesAdhere to hotel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standardsParticipate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new offerings and reservation techniquesQualificationsVocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalentMinimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, or 6 months of experience in reservations or front office operationsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and property management systems (e.g., OPERA)Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalStrong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with guests, employees, and third partiesDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and information managementAbility to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentFlexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredKnowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practicesDemonstrated sales skills and ability to up-sell hotel servicesAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureCultural sensitivity and adaptability to work in a diverse environmentAdditional InformationBeing a Raffles employee means embodying and conveying the brand and the company mindset through our Heartiest service culture.
