The organization supports ongoing learning and development to ensure its clinicians remain current with advances in medical practice and healthcare delivery.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Resident Doctor role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Resident Doctor will provide direct patient care, including conducting clinical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. Daily responsibilities include documenting medical histories, updating electronic medical records, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with nurses, allied health professionals, and senior physicians. The role involves participating in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings, as well as responding to urgent and emergent patient needs in a timely and professional manner. The Resident Doctor is expected to adhere to clinical guidelines, contribute to quality and safety initiatives, and support health education for patients and their families.QualificationsCandidates should possess accredited medical training and qualifications, including a recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the relevant medical council in Malaysia.Candidates should possess strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including the ability to interpret lab results, imaging, and other investigations to guide evidence-based treatment decisions.Candidates should possess effective patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly, demonstrate empathy, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Candidates should possess sound clinical documentation and organizational skills, including accurate record-keeping, time management, and attention to detail in a busy clinical setting.Candidates should possess a commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development, including openness to supervision, feedback, and participation in training programs.Candidates should possess the ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and on-call duties as required, and maintain resilience and professionalism under pressure.Experience in hospital or clinic-based residency, exposure to internal medicine or primary care, and familiarity with local healthcare regulations and standards are beneficial.

Responsibilities

Gender-Specific Health ManagementFor Men: Address issues related to male reproductive health (e.g.. erectile dysfunction. prostate health, and testosterone levels).Screen for male-specific conditions such as low testosterone, prostate cancer. and cardiovascular risks.Provide counselling on sexual health, fitness, and weight management.For Women:Manage women's reproductive health, including menstrual health, fertility. pregnancy, menopause, and post-menopausal care.Address hormonal imbalances and conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and osteoporosis.Provide counselling on family planning, contraception, and sexual health.Functional Medicine CareConduct comprehensive assessments, including medical histories, laboratory testing. and advanced diagnostic tools to identify imbalances and root causes of chronic conditions.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on functional medicine principles.Prescribe targeted interventions such as supplements, nutraceuticals, diet plans, and lifestyle modifications.Chronic Disease ManagementCollaborate with patients in managing chronic health conditions such as autoimmune diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.Monitor progress and adjust treatment protocols for long-term health benefits.Patient Education and CounsellingEducate patients on the functional medicine model and its benefits.Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, diet, and disease prevention.Empower patients to take an active role in their health.Collaborative ApproachWork closely with other healthcare professionals (e.g., nutritionists, therapists, physical trainers) for integrated care.Participate in team discussions to ensure cohesive treatment plans.Monitoring and Follow-up CareRegularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.Ensure timely follow-ups and ongoing patient support.Administrative DutiesMaintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations.Stay updated on the latest research and trends in functional medicine.Manage scheduling and patient intake processes.
