Resident Engineer

About us:Fichtner is a leading international engineering and consultancy firm delivering end-to-end solutions for complex infrastructure and industrial projects. With expertise across planning, design, project management, and technical advisory, we support clients worldwide—from feasibility through execution—ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.Our requirements:Minimum experience:At least 15 years of experience.Alternatively, 10 years of experience with a Master’s degree in engineering (Experience E2).Education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or Master’s degree as per the alternative above).Role & responsibilities:Responsible for all technical and administrative matters assigned under the employer’s supervisory duties.Provide all required reports under the agreement.Attend regular meetings with representatives of both the employer and the executing contractor.Relevant international experience (MUST include):Experience in supervising water and wastewater projects, specifically involving any of the following (one or more):Water Treatment PlantsWastewater Treatment PlantsSewerage Treatment PlantDesalination PlantReverse Osmosis (RO) PlantsWater Purification PlantProject management qualifications:Demonstrated project management experience and skills.Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Team and execution experience:Experience managing work teams.Software proficiency:Proficiency in various engineering software (as required for the role).Recency requirement (MUST):Must have experience in similar projects within the past 5 years.Communication & language (MUST):Strong communication skills.Fluent in English.Proficient in Arabic.Relocation requirement (MUST):Must be willing to relocate to Dumat Al Jandal, Al Jouf, Saudi Arabia
