Resident Engineer

Our client is a leading international engineering consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex and high-profile developments across the UAE. Due to continued project awards, they are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee the successful site delivery of major building projects across the UAE.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Client's representative on-site, overseeing all construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.Manage and supervise the site supervision team, including inspectors and discipline engineers.Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and contract requirements.Monitor contractor performance, programme, quality, health & safety, and compliance with project standards.Chair progress meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.Review and approve material submissions, method statements, shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submissions.Monitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve technical or commercial issues.Review contractors' progress claims and variation submissions in accordance with contractual requirements.Ensure all inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities are completed successfully.Prepare regular project progress reports for senior management and clients.Support the successful close-out and handover of projects, ensuring all contractual obligations have been fulfilled.Maintain strong relationships with clients while delivering exceptional technical and commercial outcomes.Candidate RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.12+ years of experience in construction supervision with leading engineering consultancies.Previous experience working as a Resident Engineer on large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or high-rise developments in the UAE.Extensive knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and local authority approval processes.Proven experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary site supervision teams.Excellent technical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong reporting, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.Experience coordinating with clients, developers, contractors, and government authorities throughout project delivery.
