Location: Pahang, MalaysiaProject: Hydropower (700MW)Company: Confidential (International Engineering & Consulting Firm)OVERVIEW:We are seeking an experienced Resident Geologist to support geological supervision activities associated with powerhouse foundations, underground structures, and major civil infrastructure within a hydropower project.The successful candidate will provide geological expertise related to excavation, rock conditions, foundation performance, and construction risks.geotechnical risks.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor geological conditions affecting powerhouse construction.Review excavation observations and geological records.Assess rock mass quality and foundation conditions.Support evaluation of foundation treatment and stabilization measures.Coordinate with civil and geotechnical teams.Participate in inspections and site investigations.Identify geological risks and recommend mitigation measures.Prepare technical reports and geological assessments.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or related disciplines.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.Experience in hydropower projects, underground structures, industrial facilities, or large infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of geological mapping and rock mechanics.Experience working on construction sites.Preferred ExperienceUnderground PowerhouseSurface PowerhouseCavern ExcavationFoundation AssessmentRock Mass ClassificationGeological MappingGround InvestigationGeotechnical WorksHydropower Projects
