The joint-venture operator, Yoma Siloam Hospital Pun Hlaing Ltd., is owned 60% by FMI and 40% by OUELH (Singapore), offering a professionally managed and internationally aligned healthcare environment.Role Description The Resident Medical Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Pun Hlaing Hospitals in Yangon. The role involves providing continuous medical coverage for inpatients and emergency cases, including initial assessment, diagnosis, management, and timely escalation to specialists when needed. The Resident Medical Officer will monitor patient progress, update clinical notes, review investigations, and participate in daily rounds to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include coordinating with nursing and allied health teams, supporting adherence to hospital protocols and JCI standards, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. The role also includes participation in clinical audits, case discussions, and ongoing training to support quality improvement and professional development.Qualifications Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid registration with the relevant medical council.Experience in inpatient and emergency care, with strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills.Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.Familiarity with hospital protocols, clinical documentation, and use of electronic medical record systems.Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, and to respond to urgent clinical situations promptly.Commitment to continuous learning, adherence to patient safety and quality standards, and participation in training and audits.Prior experience in an accredited or tertiary care hospital setting is an advantage.Proficiency in English and local languages relevant to patient communication is beneficial.
