The school is committed to academic excellence, holistic development, and providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for its students through high standards of pastoral care and campus wellbeing.Position Overview:We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to oversee the medical care and wellbeing of students on campus. The RMO will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services, managing medical emergencies, maintaining the school infirmary, and promoting preventive healthcare practices. The ideal candidate should possess sound clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively within a residential school environment. Prior experience in a boarding school or residential institution will be considered an added advantage.Key Responsibilities:Provide primary medical care to students and staff, including routine consultations and first aid.Assess, manage, and respond promptly to medical emergencies on campus.Supervise the day-to-day operations of the school infirmary, ensuring high standards of patient care.Maintain accurate medical records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.Coordinate referrals, specialist consultations, and hospital admissions whenever required.Administer prescribed medications and monitor ongoing treatment plans.Conduct routine health assessments and support preventive healthcare initiatives.Work closely with parents, school leadership, counsellors, and hostel staff regarding students' health and wellbeing.Ensure adequate stocking, maintenance, and management of medical supplies and equipment.Support health awareness programmes and promote best practices in hygiene, nutrition, and wellness across the school community.Participate in campus health and safety planning, including emergency preparedness and infection control protocols.Qualifications & SkillsMBBS degree from a recognised institution with a valid registration from the appropriate Medical Council.Minimum 2–5 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.Experience in emergency medicine, general practice, paediatrics, or family medicine will be an advantage.Prior experience in a boarding school, residential institution, or similar environment will be an added advantage.Strong clinical decision-making and emergency response skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Compassionate, approachable, and committed to student wellbeing.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a residential campus environment.Proficiency in maintaining electronic or manual medical records and basic computer applications.Compensation & BenefitsSalary is no bar for the right candidate.Residential accommodation and meals on campus.
