A Reputed Hospital is looking for Resident Medical Officer (RMO)Job Description / ResponsibilityJob SummaryThe Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to admitted patients under the supervision of Consultants and Senior Physicians. The RMO ensures timely clinical assessment, accurate documentation, effective patient management, emergency response, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and quality healthcare services.Key Responsibilities:Assess and examine all admitted patients promptly upon admission.Obtain comprehensive medical history and perform detailed physical examinations.Develop initial assessment and management plans under the guidance of Consultants.Order and review appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations as clinically indicated.Identify and respond promptly to medical and surgical emergencies.Provide immediate life-saving interventions until the Consultant arrives when necessary.Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patients` clinical progress.Review investigation reports and inform Consultants of significant findings.Administer and supervise prescribed treatments, medications, fluids, and procedures accurately.Ensure correct dosage, frequency, route, and documentation of all medications.Prepare discharge summaries, prescriptions, referral notes, and patient counseling before discharge.Maintain continuity of care during duty shifts.Medical DocumentationEmergency & Critical CarePatient Safety & QualityCoordination & CommunicationProfessional DevelopmentBehavioral CompetenciesEducational RequirementsBachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).Completion of an Internship from a recognized hospital.Skills Required: Administration, Supervision, Health/ Medical, Medical Assistance, MedicineExperience Requirements1 to 3 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Hospital,Physiotherapy center,Diagnostic Centre,Clinic,ChamberAdditional RequirementsClinical assessment and patient management.Emergency and critical care management.Medical documentation.Interpretation of laboratory and radiological investigations.Hospital Information Management System (HIMS/HMS) proficiency.Infection Prevention & Control (IPC).Patient counseling.Time management and multitasking.Team collaboration.Basic computer literacy (MS Office).Working ConditionsRotational duty including day, evening, night, weekends, and public holidays.On-call responsibilities as assigned by hospital management.Compliance with hospital policies, clinical governance, and code of conduct.
