Residential AV & Control4 Technician

NextGen Automated, Inc. | Charleston, SCWe are looking for an experienced Residential AV & Control4 Technician who can install, configure, troubleshoot, and program residential automation and AV systems.This is an experienced technician position, not an entry-level installer role. Control4 programming experience is required.What You’ll DoProgram, configure, and troubleshoot Control4 systemsInstall and service residential audio/video and home automation systemsInstall and configure TVs, projectors, automated screens, theater systems, and distributed audio/videoInstall and configure hard-wired and wireless networksTroubleshoot system, programming, networking, and equipment issuesInstall and service residential security and surveillance systemsConfigure cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related equipmentInstall racks, AV components, control equipment, and associated hardwarePerform pre-wiring and structured cabling for new construction and retrofit projectsTerminate, test, label, and troubleshoot industry-standard cablingRead project documentation and complete installations according to specificationsWork directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and explain system operationMaintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventoryCoordinate with the project team to keep installations on scheduleWhat We’re Looking ForRequired:Hands-on experience programming Control4 systemsExperience installing and troubleshooting residential AV and/or home automation systemsStrong understanding of residential networking, including wired and wireless networksAbility to troubleshoot system problems and determine the root cause rather than simply replace equipmentExperience with structured cabling, AV components, displays, racks, and related equipmentValid driver's license and excellent driving recordHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to work independently in the field and as part of a project teamPreferred:3+ years of residential AV/home automation experienceControl4 certificationsExperience with residential security, surveillance, home theaters, distributed audio/video, and networkingExperience working in both new construction and retrofit environmentsPhysical Requirements:This is a hands-on field position. Technicians must be able to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, reach, climb, and stand for extended periods.
